Christians should submit to political authorities for the sake of conscience, not just to avoid God’s wrath.

Lesson:

According to the Bible, particularly Romans 13:1-2, our Heavenly Father views those called to govern as “his servants,” meaning that governing authorities are established by God and should be submitted to by people, as they are essentially acting as God’s representatives on earth to maintain order and justice; essentially, they are to serve the people under their rule with a God-given authority.

The Bible has multiple passages that discuss the role of government and the responsibilities of Christians in relation to it, including:

  • Pastors
Pastors are appointed by God and have authority that comes from God. Obeying a pastor is essentially obeying God
  • Civil obedience
Christians should be a model of civil obedience and submit to governing authorities
  • Paying taxes
Christians should pay taxes to those who are owed them, as authorities are ministers of God.
  • Government actions
Governments should be just and not bribe or overtax citizens
  • Voting
Christians can vote for people who will govern with honor, godly wisdom, and moral courage
  • Holding government accountable
Christians should remember that the government is appointed by God and accountable to Him.
  • Therefore people that are called by Our Heavenly Father to do public service should not have to hide that they are in a ministry or some service like that. There was a situation however that someone that worked high up in Government and had to hide that fact for years, and it did not feel good to them, but they did it anyway. You should be happy that people in ministry are willing to work in Government and help people. One day they got out of one of the offices they were in and someone that the Government did not know that was a minister got in that position but someone that was running for it that won the position was cancelled out of it, and they ended up with a minister anyway but did not know that. So the Heavenly Father made sure that they ended up with a minister anyway, just not the one that won. Remember anything that happens good in the world Our Heavenly Father had a hand in it, if it is bad, the adversary had a hand in it. Sometimes Our Heavenly Father will switch ministers around for protection, or feels that a different one might have more knowledge of that position. At one time these two people worked together, so they had the same ideas, but went different ways about the same subject, so you could not say, one was like the other because they were not. Therefore some of the things that are going on today might not be as much as it is now if the one that won had gotten in, now people are punished because of it. Just remember, anyone that comes to serve should not hide or have to hide that they are ministers, or their type of education, they may have a lot of education in different areas, and should not have to hid that either, it does not feel good, nor it is right. Anyone that runs this Government are called by Our Heavenly Father, this makes them his servants. So Our Heavenly Father treats everyone equal, so why are not some of the servants treating everyone equal that does public service. This is what he expects and it is what he does. Ministers can only preach or teach what Our Heavenly Father wants them to, he will not allow you to preach something he does not allow.
  • No one also should have to hide their education because that can also help the Government and the people. This goes for whether they are so called normal or have disabilities. Again, Our Heavenly Father thinks of us as equal so you should also think of others as equal too, if you are a servant of the lord in any way. This also means being Kind to disabled people that are in public service and not treating them rough, and should be treated with being allowed to do any public service because Our Heavenly Father called them to it.

Again, people also should not be making things up on people that are in public service or anywhere else, Our Heavenly Father does not approve of this, it is a sin, and we went over the 667 sins at one time, and this was one of them. Let us try to stop sinning and do what is right, and fix records of people that things were made up on that are still alive.

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we hope and pray that all over the world this lesson helps people and that they start thinking about being right with you, and take the time to become right with you with the time you graciously gave them. We pray this in the name of Our lord and savior.

Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
