Opening Hymn: The lovingkindness of the lord is good and free by William H. Monk
1 Thy lovingkindness, Lord, is good and free,
in tender mercy turn Thou unto me;
hide not Thy face from me in my distress,
in mercy hear my prayer, Thy servant bless.
2 Needy and sorrowful, to Thee I cry;
let Thy salvation set my soul on high;
then I will sing and praise Thy holy name,
my thankful song Thy mercy shall proclaim.
3 With joy the meek shall see my soul restored;
your heart shall live, ye saints that seek the Lord;
He helps the needy and regards their cries,
those in distress the LORD will not despise.
4 Let heav’n above His grace and glory tell,
let earth and sea and all that in them dwell;
salvation to His people God will give,
and they that love His name with Him shall live.
Lesson:
- November is sometimes called “The Month of Blessings”.
This month marks events like the subsiding of the Flood and the completion of the First Temple—each an incredible testament to faith, patience.
As November unfolds, we find key moments in biblical history that remind us of God’s promises and provision. This month marks events like the subsiding of the Flood and the completion of the First Temple—each an incredible testament to faith, patience, and the Lord’s timing.Prayers for November
- Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of a new month. …
- Father, I commit this month of November into Your hands; lead me and direct my paths in all I do. …
- Lord, bless the works of my hands this month; let my efforts be fruitful and productive.
The word “December” comes from the Latin word decem, which means “ten”. It was originally the tenth month of the year in the calendar of Romulus, which began in March.
On December 25, Christians around the world will gather to celebrate Jesus’ birth. Joyful carols, special liturgies, brightly wrapped gifts, festive foods—these all characterize the feast today, at least in the northern hemisphere.
December has marked the end of the year and the coming of winter since the ancient Romans established their first calendar. As its etymology indicates, December is formed from the Latin root decem- which means “ten” … but December is our twelfth month.
.David came to the house of the LORD, but he lied to protect himself. David elaborated on his lie when he put false words in the mouth of Saul to establish an environment of secrecy (Do not let anyone know anything about the business on which I send you), and when he referred to “my young men” (David was all alone). Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit that should be evident in the life of every believer. Our joy is in our Savior.Our culture has somewhat conflated the two, but it’s important to note that Script.The undeserving especially need your kindness as a reminder of God’s lasting love and infinite forgiveness. Be kind to the unkind, and they will see what really rests in your heart of hearts. Your kindheartedness will lead others to your source in Jesus Christ. Here the kindness of the Lord leads to repentance.
God shows kindness because that is what He is like, not because people are so worthy that they elicit kindness from Him. On the contrary, God’s kindness shows itself in spite of the way people are.
Closing Hymn: Joyful Joyful we adore thee by Henry J. Dyke:
- Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee,
God of glory, Lord of love;
Hearts unfold like flow’rs before Thee,
Op’ning to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;
Drive the dark of doubt away;
Giver of immortal gladness,
Fill us with the light of day!
- All Thy works with joy surround Thee,
Earth and heav’n reflect Thy rays,
Stars and angels sing around Thee,
Center of unbroken praise.
Field and forest, vale and mountain,
Flow’ry meadow, flashing sea,
Singing bird and flowing fountain
Call us to rejoice in Thee. - Thou art giving and forgiving,
Ever blessing, ever blest,
Wellspring of the joy of living,
Ocean depth of happy rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our Brother,
All who live in love are Thine;
Teach us how to love each other,
Lift us to the joy divine. - Mortals, join the happy chorus,
Which the morning stars began;
Father love is reigning o’er us,
Brother love binds man to man.
Ever singing, march we onward,
Victors in the midst of strife,
Joyful music leads us Sunward
In the triumph song of life.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father We are grateful for the kindness and generosity You show us every day. We ask that You help us to see those around us in the same way that You do. Shape our hearts to be like Yours, and guide our hands by Your spirit in showing kindness and generosity to others today. In the name of Our lord and savior we pray.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
