Lesson:
In the Bible, Friday is significant for a number of reasons, including:
- Good Friday
Christians commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus on Good Friday, a day of reflection, repentance, and fasting. It’s a day to remember the suffering of Jesus and to show solidarity with him. Good Friday is also a day to remember the triumph of good over evil, and to look forward to the joy of Easter Sunday.
Good Friday is a Christian holy day observing the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum. It is also known as Black Friday, Holy Friday, Great Friday, Good Friday of the Passion of the Lord, Great and Holy Friday (also Holy and Great Friday). - Fasting
The Bible provides a foundation for fasting on Fridays to remember the passion of Jesus. Fasting on Fridays is an act of love, not just self-denial, and a way to remember Jesus’ sacrifice. - Creation
In the Bible, God created the beasts of the earth, cattle, and everything that creeps on the earth on the sixth day.
And it was so. 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. Friday is the day of preparation for the Sabbath for Jews, because their Sabbath begins at sundown on Friday until sundown on Saturday. Friday is the day that Jesus was crucified. As per the Bible, Jesus’ crucifixion took place on Friday, the reason why it’s called Good Friday. The day is remembered and mourned by many Christians across the world as Jesus Christ suffered on the cross and died.Venus is the goddess of love, and so is Frigg (and maybe also Freya, as they may have originally been the same goddess). Frígg gave the name to Friday. Some of the reasons include a belief that Friday was the day when Adam was created, entered into, and expelled from Jannah. It is also the day of the week when the Day of Judgment will occur and the world will end. There is also a belief that Allah is more likely to forgive and bless on Fridays. In Christianity, Friday is significant as the day on which Jesus Christ was crucified. It is known as Good Friday and is observed as a day of mourning and reflection. Many Christian denominations hold special services on this day. Good Friday is followed by Easter Sunday, which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, as we begin this Friday morning, we seek Your guidance and wisdom for the weekend ahead. Help us make choices that align with Your will and purpose. Lead us in the paths of righteousness, and let Your Holy Spirit be our constant companion. May our actions and words reflect Your love and grace. In the name of the lord and savior we pray.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
