Lesson:
There are many Angels in Heaven, and they have a lot of jobs. They are known as “ministering spirits” in the Bible, and we see that they were often sent to give human beings consolation during periods of grief and other troubling situations. They also provide Guidance, protection, proclamation, ministering care, assurance of divine presence, comfort, encouragement and enlightenment— these are key elements of the job. Angels are sent by Our Heavenly Father to protect us and help us inherit His full kingdom. The Bible tells us that angels are His servants, carrying out His will and work for our good. We know from this verse from Hebrews that angels are ministering spirits, sent to serve those who are going to receive salvation. Angels protect the righteous (Matthew 4:6, Luke 4:11). They dwell in the heavens (Matthew 28:2, John 1:51), act as Our Heavenly Father’s warriors (Matthew 26:53) and worship Our Heavenly Father. (Luke 2:13). In the parable of the Rich man and Lazarus, angels behave as psychopomps. According to The Etymologies of Isidore of Seville, the Virtues are known for their control of the elements. In addition to being the spirits of motion, they also assist in governing elements of nature, such as storms. They also assist with miracles, as well as encourage humans to strengthen their faith in Our Heavenly Father. But while Scripture frequently mentions angels assisting mankind, it does not specifically state that each person is guarded by a particular angel. Who is God’s holiest angel? Saint Michael is the ‘Prince of the Heavenly Host’, the leader of all the angels. St Michael, whose forces cast down Lucifer and the evil spirits into Hell, is invoked for protection against Satan and all evil. Our Heavenly Father sends angels to meet His people’s needs; to strengthen the weary; to give believers supernatural guidance (which, in the New Testament, most frequently occurs in dreams or visions); to provide protection and deliverance from harm.
Closing Prayer:
Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom His love commits me here, ever this day (night) be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. In the name of Our lord and savior we pray.
Lord Jesus; Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
