Opening Hymn: Goodness of God by CeCe Winans;
I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
‘Cause all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night You are close like no other
I’ve known You as a Father
I’ve known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God, yeah
‘Cause all my life You have been faithful, oh yes You have
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
With my life laid down, I surrendered now
I give You everything, oh Lord
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me (oh yeah, oh yeah)
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
With my life laid down, I surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after, it keeps running after me
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I’m gonna sing of the goodness of God
I’m gonna sing
All my life You have been faithful
(All of my life You’ve been faithful)
All my life You have been so, so good
(So good with every breath)
every breath that I am able
(Every breath I’m able)
I will sing (I’m gonna sing)
Of the goodness (of the goodness of God, yes I am)
I’m gonna sing of the goodness of God
Oh, I’m gonna sing of the goodness of God.
Sermon:
In this dark world that we now have, it is always better to keep your family happy and close to you and to your Heavenly Father. Demonstrate to your parents what healthy love looks like. Show them the love of Christ. And lastly, as you grow into adulthood, endeavor to be the person or parent they weren’t. One of the best tips for when people are yelling, and people cannot control parents yelling, whisper to them, eventually they will be quiet because they want to hear what you are trying to tell them. Whether you do formal volunteer work, rake the leaves in a neighbor’s yard, or simply bring soup to a sick family member, compassionate service will bring your family closer to each other and to your Heavenly Father. When you read the scriptures as a family, you will invite Our Heavenly Father’s Spirit to be in your home. Your children will learn how to apply Our Heavenly Father’s teachings in their lives and receive guidance from him for themselves.Even if you only read one verse together each morning, studying the scriptures will help your family draw closer to Our Heavenly Father. If we hold onto to our faith when times get hard, we can stop any obstacle in our way and begin to climb again. The ladder of faith can be successfully climbed in this life and draw us nearer to Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
Climbing the ladder of faith is a necessary part of discipleship. We can ask ourselves where we are with regards to our faith in Jesus Christ. We can even test ways where we can grow and strengthen our faith. When this is done it will help us to look for the will of Our Heavenly Father and find out what He wants us to do. Nature is very important to Our Heavenly Father because It can help us nurture the fruits of the spirit. The sense of wonder that nature sparks can result in personal dedication to Our Heavenly Father. In other words, when Psalm 19 states that “the heavens declare the glory of God,” it reminds us that the goodness of creation points towards the goodness of the Creator. We’re meant to live a substantial portion of our lives outdoors—and it’s a unique place to experience our Creator and restore our spirits. Considering the nearness of the end times, it is unlikely that man will progress far enough to visit other galaxies before the Lord’s return. Wherever life exists or doesn’t exist, Our Heavenly Father is still the Creator and Controller of all things, and all things were made for His glory.and these, too, were created for Our Heavenly Father’s glory. The Sun symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ, the Light of the world, and the planets symbolize major aspects of the unique Son of God and His work of Salvation on behalf of mankind. It is important that we always make an effort to learn what Our Heavenly Father wants, and realize that everything we have is owned by Our Heavenly Father and we are stewards of it and to take care of them. Always also remember that any money we work hard for and receive is a gift from him. The faster we realize all this and get closer to Our Heavenly Father the more glorious Our eternal life will be. Fig trees represent our earthly nature as co-creators. As a keystone species, the fig awakens our collective memory of belonging to each other. It inspires us to share our creative energy and desires.
Closing Hymn: God will take care of you by Heritage signers:
Be not dismayed whate’er betide
God will take care of you
Beneath His wings of love abide
God will take care of you
God will take care of you
Through every day, o’er all the way
He will take care of you
God will take care of you
No matter what may be the test
God will take care of you
Lean, weary one, upon His breast
God will take care of you
God will take care of you
Through every day, o’er all the way
He will take care of you
God will take care of you
He will take care of you
God will take care of you
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father, thank You for the lesson of the fruitless fig tree which illustrates the barrenness that comes from a hardened heart which refuses to acknowledge sin and turn to Christ for forgiveness and life. I pray that I may abide in Him and He in me so I may be a fruitful branch during this Church age, when the gospel of grace is being preached worldwide. I pray that despite Israel’s rejection of their Messiah and the partial blindness that has covered their spiritual eyes, that many will turn to Jesus for salvation today. And I pray for that day when the entire nation of Israel will call on the name of the Lord and be saved. This I ask in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for salvation; Lord Jesus; Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take
complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
