Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister    Jessie K. Weiss invite you to How Our Heavenly Father feels about Violence Friday, June 2, 2023.

Genesis 6:11Now the earth was corrupt in Gods sight and was full of violence.

Genesis 49:5Simeon and Levi are brothers their swords are weapons of violence.

Matthew 26:52 Put your sword back in its place, Jesus said to him, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.

Hamas, meaning ‘violence, wrongdoing‘, is the Hebrew Bible’s primary term for violence and it is first used in Genesis 6:11: “the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence.” It occurs sixty times in the Hebrew Bible, is almost always used to identify physical violence (Genesis 49:5.

Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.” “But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” “Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.”

Our Heavenly Father considers where you are within him. He also does not like any violence whatsoever. He knows it will happen, but does not like it. Right now there is a lot of violence out there. If you remember the commandment thou shall not kill for any reason, and he means it. He wishes you to reason with people and talk things out, and also try to solve a problem, not make one. We have had previous lessons on this, but the violence is so great, that we have been asked to go over it again in this format. Our Heavenly Father does not like people to lie on each other, or make things up, and ruin careers. This is not good. This is not of Our Heavenly Father, it is the adversary. If anyone that has fallen into this ask for forgiveness and repent, for those that are old enough to do it.

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we thank you for your word. We pray all that read this lesson understand it and learn from it. Help us to not be violent; help us to solve problems by talking and reasoning. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Prayer of Salvation: Which is how you ask to become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
