Bible verse of the day; 2 Corinthians 10:3
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
Today is Memorial day in the United States.This is how Our Heavenly Father feels about Memorial day; he encourages Christians to remember the sacrificial death of their Savior Jesus Christ and their martyred brethren. Thank Jesus for dying on the cross for us and sacrificing his life to save us from our sins. 3 things christians should also remember to do on Memorial day is Remember, thank, and pray. Remember those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, thank them for all the service they did for us, and pray for all the families and the members of the armed forces. This is what Our Heavenly Father wants all of us to do. Yes, it is a day to remember about our fallen heroes that kept this country safe, but it is also what it is biblically all about.
We realize this is Memorial day for everyone in the U.S. It is also important to keep eyes biblically on for the lord, but other parts of the world do not have Memorial day, so we have a regular lesson. The other countries are suffering, we have freedom of speech, where to go, etc. But the other countries do have time. The other countries governments allow them to have bible and our information because it is written. It is a holiday and we are not pushing but we do want you to understand about other countries.
Lesson Psalm 24:
24:1 The earth is the Lords, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
24:2 for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.
24:3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?
24:4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
24:5 They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior.
24:6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob. ,
24:7 Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
24:8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
24:9 Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
24:10 Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty he is the King of glory.
Summary; David praises God the Father and acknowledges that God owns the world, and the world belongs to God. It is a beautifully crafted Psalm. David puts emphasis on God’s ownership and spanned ownership in these verses.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father, creator of all things, the whole earth belongs to you, the mountains and plains, the lakes and rivers, the oceans and seas. From the outer crust to the innermost core, this earth is yours because you made it and it exists for your glory and pleasure. Thank you in Jesus name. Amen.
Prayer of Salvation: Which is how you ask to become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
