Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invite you to this bible lesson on the book of Isaiah chapters 16 to 21. Friday, December 2, 2022.

20:1 In the year that the supreme commander, sent by Sargon king of Assyria, came to Ashdod and attacked and captured it

20:2 at that time the Lord spoke through Isaiah son of Amoz. He said to him, Take off the sackcloth from your body and the sandals from your feet. And he did so, going around stripped and barefoot.

20:3 Then the Lord said, Just as my servant Isaiah has gone stripped and barefoot for three years, as a sign and portent against Egypt and Cush,

20:4 so the king of Assyria will lead away stripped and barefoot the Egyptian captives and Cushite exiles, young and old, with buttocks baredto Egypts shame.

20:5 Those who trusted in Cush and boasted in Egypt will be dismayed and put to shame.

20:6 In that day the people who live on this coast will say, See what has happened to those we relied on, those we fled to for help and deliverance from the king of Assyria! How then can we escape?

Summary; One of the leaders in Syria won a big fight in Ashdod. Our Heavenly Father told Isaiah to walk around without any shoes on or other clothing.

Closing prayer;  Heavenly Father we thank you for your word in such a way that we can understand it. We thank you for Isaiah throughout the years he was here and his great men you used to get the word across. We thank you in Jesus name. Amen.

those who wish to become a child of our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.

Heavenly Father: I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”
