Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invite you to this first lesson of a 5 day series on Freedom.Wednesday, June 29, 2022

America  was built on Freedom. Especially freedom to worship. Freedom of speech; freedom of the press, freedom of happiness, and freedom to do what makes you happy as long as it is not breaking the law. If America was built on all of this, why would you want to rip it down now? This is what it looks like that people want to break it down? The Lord did not help us build this country up to break it down.

Do you realize that the Lord helped write the constitution of the U.S. through vessels such as James Maddison, Alexander Hamilton, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson.

What does freedom mean to Our Heavenly Father?

The freedom from sin cost our heavenly Father His dear Son: “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” (John 3:16). Since Christ did die for our sins, we can now have freedom from sin in Christ. “And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness” (Romans 6:18). Paul further elaborates on our freedom and says, “Stand fast therefore, in the liberty by which Christ has made us free and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1). Real freedom is about knowing that we have escaped the ultimate consequences and guilt of our sin through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said, “Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). We need to be reminded of the cost for our spiritual freedom by remembering Jesus and His worthy sacrifice. It will help us to not want to return to a life of sin.

Here are some bible verses about Freedom:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 6:18; Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Galations 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father, we pray that You will be with us when we find our mind running this way and that. It seems that just when something big comes up, that is when we turn to our phone or to some other distraction that isn’t important at that time. Jesus, we need You to be with us and give us the power to focus. Free us from our inability to zone in on the task at hand. Clear our scattered mind. Free us from distractions. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

For those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
