Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invite you to this lesson about Memorial Day Friday May 27, 2022.

In the United States, the poppy is not traditionally worn on Veterans Day, but on Memorial Day, the last Monday in May, to commemorate the lives of those who died fighting for their country. The Friday before Memorial Day (May 27 this year) is National Poppy Day.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
2 Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
Joshua 4:1 And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Memorial day is to remember the fallen from our Military service. It is also a day to remember how they protected our country from problems. Also, how they helped when not in war in other countries. It is also a day to thank them for giving thier lives to save us. There are other types of service other than the military. There is also public service, such as the Government in the U.S. and social services. We should thank them for putting their lives on the line for people as well. You should not take away from the service people, but there are also people in Government that give a service. Families of these people help out and give. You should thank them as well. They will protect until Our Heavenly Father says it is time. We should thank everyone that lay thier lives down for us this weekend. Just like Jesus lay his life down for us. Keep this all in mind this weekend when with your families. Take a few hours to remember those who gave a lot for us to have our freedoms. Without them we would not have freedom. If we do not watch it we may not have freedom again.

Closing prayer; Heavenly Father we thank you for sending your son Jesus to lay down his life for all of us. We also thank you for the great service people in the Military and any public service for all they do for us. We pray that all who read this take time to thank many people this weekend and understand this lesson. We ask Jesus to help them. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
