Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invite you to this Lesson about the biblical meaning of Candles, The Star in Bethlehem, and Poinsettias. Friday, December 23, 2022.

Candles are a symbol used to identify people as a christian. The light of a candle shows that Our Heavenly Father’s word is shining on the world. The Bethlehem star is used as a symbol of the news of the birth of Jesus. It was used to point out where Jesus was laying in the manger. The poinsettia has the shape to remind us of the star of Bethlehem. It’s red color is for the blood of Jesus. Please always remember this holiday season that christmas is the birthday of Jesus Christ. Please also remember to have a good time with your family and friends, but also take time to be with your Heavenly Father. Pray and talk to him and read the bible.

Bible verses for candles

Bible verses about the star of Bethlehem

Matthew 2:9-10 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.

Daniel 12:3Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father thank you for all the enjoyment you bring around christmas and all year. We thank you for the story of Jesus and for sending him to save us from our sins. We pray that all who read this become a child of yours, and if they are a child of your that they become stronger within you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

those who wish to be a child of our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.

Heavenly Father: I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.” Please leave a message if no one can answer the phone. We will get back to you if you leave a message as soon as possible.
