Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invite you to this lesson on The 10 commandments.Tuesday, June 28, 2022

1.You shall have no other gods before Me.

This means, do not worship anything other than your Heavenly Father, he was your creator, everything on this earth including animals was made by him.

Deuteronomy 5:7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

2. You shall not make unto thee any graven images

This means Do not think of things as God, such as a piece of gold, silver, or even people; especially ones that are famous. Do not think of your doctor as a god, this person is a vessel.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

This means Do not use the Lord’s name out of foul language, or out of anger, or curse him, or make fun of him.We don’t like it if people call us bad names do we? They are being disrespectful. God’s name is Holy and it must be used only in a reverent way.

Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

4.  Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.

This means Keep the 7th day for rest and time with Your Heavenly Father. Spend a lot of time with Your Heavenly Father each day, but especially during the sabbath, and thank him for all things he has done for you. If you are not a child of Our Heavenly Father, reflect on what he could do for you if you allow him to. Get into the bible and you will see what we mean.

Isaiah 66:22-23

22

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. 2 Pet 3:13 Isa 65:17

23

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

5. Honor your Father and your Mother

This means you should respect your Mother and Father. Pay attention to what they tell you, and obey them because they are wiser, and our Heavenly Father instructs us to.

Exodus 20:12 Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

6. You shall not murder

You shall not murder is what the above commandment says, this also means you shall not kill. Our Heavenly Father wants us to protect human life.

Matthew 5:21-22

21

Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

7. You shall not commit adultery.

This means husbands and wives should be faithful to one another.

Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

8. You shall not steal.

This means Do not take things from anyone or anywhere that do not belong to you.

Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

This means do not tell a lie. Do not tell stories that are untrue about people. When you tell a lie, you hurt yourself as well as others. Soon people will not trust what you say. This means do not do false things against people, or make things up on people, or lie on people.

Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

10. You shall not covet.

This means Do not desire something of someone else and want it for yourself. It also means that it is a form of being jealous.

Deuteronomy 5:21 Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbor’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbor’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbor’s.

This section is to describe what we see or hear about all over the world, and you should never do. Saith Our Heavenly Father through the bible and the 10 commandments.

Do not take the name of The Lord your God in vain. This is the 3rd commandment. This means do not curse, do not call him out of anger. Those are two things you do not do. We do see a lot of that happening. Please remember Our Heavenly Father is your creator, the world, or anything would not be here if he was not. You should praise him and be happy he did this for us, and created us.

Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Remember the Sabbath is the 4th commandment. This is the day that Our Heavenly Father rested after creating the world. Whether or not you are a child of his you should recognize that day, because after all we were created by him. If you are not a child of Our Heavnly Father he gives you a choice, but we would still look at the pros and cons of not being a child of his on your rest day. If you are a child of Your Heavenly Father we would encourage you to get deeper into him.

Current events and how it relates to the 10 commandments in today’s world. Look at all the violence and killing that is going on around the world, and here at home, etc. like that, that is needless. That goes with the 6th commandment which is you shall not murder; but this also means you shall not kill. A lot of people right now are against the 6th commandment. Therefore we ask that those people that murder for no good reason, or fabricated reason, STOP and think about what the Lord might say about that. We have had many lessons about the adversary. We know not many people would want to be down there, but doing these type of things could cause that to happen. So we suggest that if you are a child of Our Heavenly Father, get stronger in the faith so you can stop. If you are not a child of Our Heavenly Father please become so you can get help stopping either by his vessels or by himself.

The 8th commandment is you shall not steal. We see a lot of this these days as well. People do not have money, or feel they have no choice and steal things, not good. There is no reason in this world why you have to steal, especially in this world. If you think about it. Killing someone is stealing their life from them. Do not take things that do not belong to you. Not right, not legal, and it is a sin. Remember you want joy, peace and happiness, you do not want to be with the adversary.

Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Let us now talk about the 9th commandment, which is you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. There is a lot of false statements about people. There is also a lot of making things happen to people that are also false.

So you have to be careful and prayerful to your Heavenly Father when something untrue happens to you. If you are not a child of Our Heavenly Father please become, so he can help you though the end times, so you can have, joy, peace and love for eternal life. Instead of darkness, hot, and nothing to eat or drink.

Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

Let us now talk about the 10th commandment. This is you shall not covet. This means do not desire something someone else has and want it for yourself. A lot of the jealousy and killings are because people are jealous of what other people have, and they can envy each other and want what you have. Thinking the grass is greener on the other side, as the older folks say. It is not that way for real, as your Heavenly Father would say, and it would be against his will for you. If you are doing something like this or even thinking about it. Ask for forgiveness and repent.

Deuteronomy 5:21 Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbor’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbor’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbor’s.

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we pray that the people reading this message gets a full understanding of what they should not do out here. That they also get stronger within you or become a child of yours. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
