Romans 12 is very much a description of what it means to lead the life of a living sacrifice to God. If we’re honest with ourselves, it sounds very difficult. Most of Paul’s bullet-point commands in the previous verses have to do with setting ourselves aside. It’s tough for us to do this for the good of our fellow Christians, let alone for our enemies. Difficult or not, Paul is calling us to live as Jesus did.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Romans chapter 12 talks about how important it is to make sure you give your life to Our Heavenly Father, and live for him, or get born again, especially now in these end times. When he comes for his children those who live right and really did live for him will have a good eternal life.
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father, take our life and let it be consecrated to You. Take our life Lord, we pour our life out as a living sacrifice to You. Praise Your holy name for the amazing gift of salvation that You have given to us, by grace through faith. You alone are worthy of our love and praise forever and ever. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
Those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below
Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
