Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invite you to this special lesson on the biblical meaning of New Year’s, and the difference between faith and religion.

Monday, December 26, 2022.

We hope you had a merry christmas, and got to understand every lesson you read as far as things that we were getting at that were unusual. Now, this is the week before New year’s, so we will talk about that, and bible at the same time.

A biblical fact about New Years.

This day is commonly referred to as Rosh Hashanah, which means “head of the year.” In the Bible however, it is called Yom Teruah, which means “day of trumpets” – it is the fifth of the seven major holidays. Our Heavenly Father looks at New Years as a day of New beginnings.

Things that Our Heavenly Father would like everyone to do to start out the new year.

  1. Getting a stronger relationship with him, for those that Our children of Our Heavenly Father.
  2. Would like his children to get more into the bible and less into things in the world, because they are not of the world, they are of the heavens. This is where they can get joy and peace, if they know him well enough. Even if people know Our Heavenly Father just a little, he will help them get to know him better. He gives great blessings when you believe in him and do for him. Those who have not become children of Our Heavenly Father we encourage it. It is easy to become a child of his and get get born again. By saying a prayer that we will list below will help you get born again. Also, get around true christians, and we mean true, not ones pretending. This will help you get to know your Heavenly Father well too. Getting up in the morning and thanking Our Heavenly Father for another day. Getting quiet in a room and talk out to Our Heavenly Father and he will talk to you.

We had just discussed facts about New Years; and things that Our Heavenly Father would like his children to do and everyone else in the world. Most importantly he wants you to become a child of his, but if you are a child of his; become stronger in faith.

James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

1 Timothy 2:2

for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Mark 11:24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Hebrews 11:1Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Romans 8:18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

The difference between religion and faith.

Religion is a set of doctrines that are made to explain Our Heavenly Father and tries to make people understand him and confuse them in thier faith and about him.

Faith is believing in him, giving him all your problems, and having a relationship. Faith is a direct thing between you and your Heavenly Father. What can also help is by talking to people really into faith, and not so much religion. You can find a lot of them. Real apostles for example are really into faith. Some Ministries like us are really into faith instead of religion. Remember, many things were hidden from ministers that should not have been, and now things are coming out. This is important for people to get to know, because if you do not get to know that, you may not know christianity that well.

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father help us to start the new year peaceful and to be thoughtful of others, and have good communication. Help us also to treat the world gently and tender and be more thankful for you and what you have done for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

those who wish to be a child of our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.

Heavenly Father: I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.” Please leave a message if no one can answer the phone. We will get back to you if you leave a message as soon as possible. Everyone is important to us. We are 24 hour service but have a small staff, and therefore we might be on the other line, or dealing with someone else.
