Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invite you to this special lesson on Tithing. Monday, August 8, 2022.

Deuteronomy 26:12When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

In the old testament tithing was talked about for feeding windows, levites, and strangers, and people in the church.

Today tithing is used for feeding people, but it is also used for running the church, keeping the electric on, and the supplies up to date. It is also used for keeping the building clean, but it is no longer all tithing. It is really called giving graciously in the new testament. Giving what you can afford. However, the more you give, the more blessings you get from Our Heavenly Father. For those who cannot afford much, do things for the Lord, and he considers that greatiously giving too. This ministry is not legally allowed to take tithing. We ask that you help poor people on the street, pray for them, and do what you can for your neighbor if they need financial. This is what we suggest. Give to people who are really needy. You can also give to your local church that you feel is honest, and you feel comfortable with and keep with the bible. That is what we suggest. But you need to know that the rule of 10 percent has gone away, it is from the old testament. The new rule is to give greatiously which is in the new testament.

2 Corinthians 9:7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Measure to what you have in finances to give.

James 1:5  If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

This last verse talks about blessings in a different way.

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we thank you for helping people understand about tithings, and the new saying called giving greatiously. We pray that people understand it is important to give what you can. That they understand that you consider giving greatiously doing things for you like praying for people on the street and giving to the poor. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
