Opening Prayer: Heavenly Father we pray that the people that read this sermon understand how great it feels to have your grace. Then to have life eternal with you. We pray that Jesus helps them learn this or the Holy Spirit. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Sermon Sunday January 31, 2021
Follows Paul’s teaching about the transformation that happens for those who see God’s glory in Christ. Paul knows that he and his co-workers are fragile containers for the priceless message of God’s grace through faith in Jesus.
Paul deals with an issue of sexual immorality in the Corinthian church.
Warns the readers about receiving God’s grace in vein. Paul quoted the section of Isaiah in which God said that He has helped all those who have called out to Him.
Paul begins by saying that because God has given promises of eternal life through Jesus Christ, believers should purify themselves so that they do not contaminate their body and spirit.
Paul is holding up the church located in Macedonia as an example for the Corinthians to follow when it comes to giving to the needy. Paul called these people saints because they had chosen to follow Jesus Christ and so God had embraced them and forgiven them of their sins.
Paul bragging about the generosity of the Corinthians to people in Macedonia. Paul used the sacrificial gifts of the Corinthians to motivate the Macedonians and express the need to please God.

Closing Hymn: Praise God by Messengers of peace
There is a light that is shining
Leading the way back home
Arms open wide You are waiting
Welcoming me as Your own
You traded my burdens for blessings
Took all my fear and gave me hope
Washed me in grace everlasting
Your blood cleansed my heart and my soul
Praise God, Praise God
Our sins been washed away
The final debts been paid
We are free
Where sin was found
Your grace abounds
Your love is taking over
Your love is taking over
Closing Prayer:
Lift our spirits, we pray, that we might breath more slowly, act without reacting, hear the voices of those around us with compassion and love. For those of us troubled with the challenges of our times, may we find support and healing in this your House. … For we are all of us in need of your love and grace, O God. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Benediction: Go in peace and enjoy with your friends and loved ones. Let them know what you learned throughout the week. Also try to help them become children of Our Heavenly Father and get stronger in thier faith if they are already a child of Our Heavenly Father.
Salvation Prayer for those who are already children of God and want a stronger faith, and those that wish to become children of god.
“Dear God, I want to be a part of your family. You said in Your Word that if I acknowledge that You raised Jesus from the dead, and that I accept Him as my Lord and Savior, I would be saved. So God, I now say that I believe You raised Jesus from the dead and that He is alive and well. I accept Him now as my personal Lord and Savior. I accept my salvation from sin right now.
I am now saved. Jesus is my Lord. Jesus is my Savior. Thank you, Father God, for forgiving me, saving me, and giving me eternal life with You. Amen!”
