Review of the week Chapters 1-9 of the book of Matthew from King James New Version. This is the same as the old version except the old english is not as much.
Chapter 1 was about how everybody was related to everybody else at that time. It also discussed the concept of child rearing, and it mentioned about the Story of Mary and Joseph. They lived together for a long time, until one day an angel of God came to Joseph in a dream. He said to Joseph, “You and Mary are to get married. The Holy Spirit will then conceive with Mary a child. It will be a son, and he is to be named Jesus. He will one day save all the people from thier sins.
Chapter 2 Focusses on what happened with Jesus, the wisemen, and King Herod. At first Herod would push to see Jesus so he could worship him. Then after a while it was found out by an angel that appeared to Joseph in a dream. It stated that Jesus was not to be around King Herod due to him wanting to kidnap him and destroy him. So Jesus therefore could not always stay in Bethlehem, he had to be moved from there to Egypt, then to Israel.
Chapter 3 All about John the baptist and Jesus being baptized and where to baptize him. Jesus was baptized in the Jordan river. He received the Holy Ghost and was anointed. A voice later came from heaven stating that “This is my beloved son in whom I am pleased, listen to him.”
Chapter 4 Jesus is on a mountain and came from Galalie. He ended up out in the wilderness and Satan was tempting him for 40 days. He had been preaching in many foreign lands beforehand. He had made stones into bread for the people to eat. Satan had also had Jesus in many cities trying to temp him as well. Jesus also was given the power to heal the sick. Two of his deciples were fishermen before being servants of Jesus.
Chapter 5 discusses the blessings that God gives his people. The keys to getting into heaven are knowing Jesus Christ, following the commandments, doing positive work and teaching and sharing the word of God. It also points out how adultery is committed and the rules for divorcing someone. Back in the day only certain parts of a person’s flesh would not end up in darkness forever, and the rest would go up to our heavenly father.
Chapter 6 discusses how important it is to always give to your heavenly father before giving to the poor. Always remember to keep your body very well nourished. Remember that God is your main provider. Surround yourself with people that are positive and are sent across your path by God. Remain single until God sends you his choice of a mate.
Chapter 7 There is only one judge. God. Never be judgmental of another. Anything comes from God. Ask of him, and you will receive it. Never ask of man, or you could receive what is not what you request. God can help remove the spirit of hypocrisy from anyone, including one’s brothers and sisters. Always knock on God’s door, and he will open it. Do not try to be friend anyone that is dark or unholy. Follow where God leads you; this could depend on if your life could end up in total destruction. Becareful of who you associate with; they could be a wolf in sheep’s clothes. One other way to enter God’s kingdom is to follow his will for you. The people are given the power to cast out the darkness in the name of Jesus. Jesus helped be the force of all houses that stand. He helps be the authority over storms and any evil beings.
Chapter 8 1-17 Jesus has been known as a healer. He can heal all disease, and this included a man that had leoparcy. This also includes casting out dark spirits in people that possess them. 18-34 Jesus has perfect love, and that love can make fear go away out of anyone. He also has the power to make any form of weather be calm and still.
Chapter 9 Jesus had also been known to raise people from the dead. He also had helped people that could not walk be able to walk. This was all done with deciples at his side assisting. He has the power to forgive a sinner. Give women a husband, and a husband a wife. He does great miracles.
Opening Hymn is: God is fighting for us, pushing back the darkness; By Darlene Zschech
God is fighting for us
God is on our side
He has overcome
Yes, He has overcome
We will not be shaken
We will not be moved
Jesus You are here, oh…
God is fighting for us
God is on our side
He has overcome
Yes, He has overcome
We will not be shaken
We will not be moved
Jesus You are here
Carrying our burdens
Covering our shame
He has overcome
Yes, He has overcome
We will not be shaken
We will not be moved
Jesus You are here
I will live, I will not die
The resurrection power of Christ
Alive in me and I am free
In Jesus’ Name
Carrying our burdens
Covering our shame
He has overcome
Yes, He has overcome
We will not be shaken
We will be moved
Jesus You are here
I will live, I will not die
The resurrection power of Christ
Alive in me and I am free
In Jesus’ Name
I will live, I will…
Opening prayer:
Heavenly Father, we pray that you will be with our congregation as they read this and that they understand this series and your word, and the words throughout this series are to your liking, and songs, etc. I pray this in Jesus’s name Amen.
We hope that this helps you get to know the lord a little bit better. These are his words in summaries directly from King James Bible The new version. The only difference between the New version and the Original version is the old english. We checked it out well. They tried to take out the old english.
The book of Matthew was the bridge between the old testament and the new testament. Just a reminder that the old testament was mainly done by Moses, and all the rules and laws. It was all breathed out by God to Moses. Then later Jesus Christ came and he died on the cross in his 30’s for our sins. Those who believe or wish to beleive should know this. Moses’s law got cancelled for all those who believe in Jesus Christ. All the sins, and the laws he took on himself for us, so we may go to heaven and be with his father, and The Holy Spirit and Jesus. We will get into this in another sermon. if you believe in Jesus Christ and want to have joy and peace, you know that you do not need to follow Moses’s laws, they have been cancelled for you. All you have to do is believe in Jesus, and trust in him to pull you through. Get to know Jesus and have a personal relationship with him. You can, because the Holy Spirit lives within you.
Sermon:
Chapter 1 Everyone was related to everyone else and who’s offspring they were and the generations. It mentions the story of Mary and Joseph. You can read the above summary if want more detail.
Chapter 2 points out about King Herod, and how he has very bad intentions when it came to Jesus. Jesus had to be protected by his parents and others that cared about him because King Herod wanted to destroy and kidnap Jesus at one time. As a result of all this King Herod and Jesus never met, and Jesus was not always in Bethlehem. He had to be moved to other places so he could not be found. Not many people know this part of the story.
Chapter 3 All about John the baptist and Jesus being baptized and where to baptize him. Jesus was baptized in the Jordan river. He received the Holy Ghost and was anointed. A voice later came from heaven stating that “This is my beloved son in whom I am pleased, listen to him.”
Chapter 4’s main points are that Jesus preached in many foreign lands before landing in the wilderness to be tempted by Satan, none of it worked. He was given a lot of power by our Heavenly Father to heal many sick people.
Chapter 5 These days everything goes to the darkness unless you repent, but more than that, if you really want to get to heaven you must get into the bibles and understand them. You must love and communicate with your heavenly father. Jesus is the light and the way to do this, as well as the Holy Spirit. Remember, the Holy Spirit lives within you from previous sermons.
Chapter 6 how important it is to always give to your heavenly father before giving to the poor. Always remember to keep your body very well nourished. Remember that God is your main provider. Surround yourself with people that are positive and are sent across your path by God. Remain single until God sends you his choice of a mate.
It is important to build a relationship with your heavenly father. Let us all work towards this goal as we go through the bible series. Each month there will be a different book. There will also be a sermon each week on the parts of the bible that you read. We also will throw in stories that will relate to bible verses. Will also do other things on the site to get the truth out about our heavenly father. This will help all of you be better children to our heavenly father or become a child of our heavenly father.
Chapter 7
The main points in this chapter is that our heavenly father is the judge of all. We should not ever try to judge others. Always ask of God and you will receive it. But always make sure you are talking to God. God can remove any dark spirits from anyone, including thier brothers and sisters. Always knock on God’s door, and he will open it. Be careful of who you are friends with and that they are not of the darkness, and are children of God. Follow where God leads you; this could depend on if your life could end up in total destruction. This also could help you stay alive and not be hurt. The best way to enter God’s kingdom is to walk with him and follow his will for your life. All of God’s children that truly believe in him are given a lot of power within them to do for the Lord, such as casting out evil. Lifting people up from the dead, and healing the sick. He has given us the power to do those things through prayer.
Chapter 8
All of what Jesus has done. He has given us great power as his children to do the same, as mentioned above. You need to ask him how to draw it out yourself. He has to help you, but has given you the power to do it. Some of his children know how to do it, but some need his help to bring it out. The power was their when we were born.
Chapter 9
As we said above, Jesus was very able to raise someone from the dead. He also heals people’s afflictions, and making anyone else well if they are sick. He forgives sins. He also makes the bond of marriage between men and women. This is all done for his children that truly believe. With that you should repent of your sins.
Taking all this above information into consideration. You really have to be mindful that you are talking to The Lord and not someone from the darkness. Believe it or not, some of the best ministers, prophets, etc, have gotten in trouble this way. Once in a great while it has happened. The darkness can pretend to be this, because they want you to be tripped up. I will let you try to figure out the darkness, but I will let you know this. There are only two places you can go when you die. Remember, even though these chapters do not focus on this a lot, but by actions. God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit really do love you. We hope here at Raynette K. Weiss Ministries that this series helps you get to know the bible, and get to know our heavenly father, and have the joy and peace here on earth like he wishes for you to have.
We will only be doing the new testament, and we will explain why at the end of the bible series.
Closing Hymn: The Gospel by Ryan Stevenson
A restless generation
We’re turning over every stone
Hoping to find salvation
In a world that’s left us cold
Can we get back to the altar?
Back to the arms of our first love
There’s only one way to the Father
And He’s calling out to us
To the captive, it looks like freedom
To the orphan, it feels like home
To the skeptic, it might sound crazy
To believe in a God who loves
In a world, where our hearts are breaking
And we’re lost in the mess we’ve made
Like a blinding light, in the dead of night
It’s the Gospel
The Gospel that makes a way
It’s the Gospel that makes a way
It’s the cure for our condition
It’s the good news for us all
It’s greater than religion
It’s the power of the Cross
So can we get back to the altar?
Back to the arms of our first love
There’s only…
Closing Prayer:
Lord, I pray that our congregation studies the book of Matthew and has fun doing it, and that you will be with them. For those that have not been saved yet, it will convince them to become one of your children. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Benediction:
Lord, I pray that our congregation will go to work this week, or whatever they are doing in a much calmer, joyful and peaceful way. With the understanding of your word. Go in peace and joy. Amen.
