Rev. Raynette K. Weiss

Opening Hymn: Angels by Tim Walker
Don’t give up
I won’t give up, no
Save praise for a better man (I)
No need for your touching hands
There’s nothing to understand (I)
I’m one with the lost and damned
It’s a long road when you’re on your own (I)
Take care of your broken soul (Won’t give up, I)
‘Cause there must be
There must be
I’ve drank all the remedies (I)
Too young for these memories
Swing low, bitter melodies (I)
False hope from the teeth of the enemy
It’s a long road when you’re on your own (I)
Take care of my broken soul (I won’t give up, I)
‘Cause there must be
There must be
Angels, guiding the way
There must be angels, saving our grace
There must be heaven for people who stray
There must be heaven in this hell that I’m living
‘Cause Heaven seems to be so forgiving
So don’t give up
I won’t give up, no
Don’t give up, I
‘Cause there must be angels
There must be angels
There must be heaven in this hell that I’m living
‘Cause Heaven seems to be so forgiving

Lost hope, keeping dreams afloat (I)
I stand just a man on a tight rope
Got faith but I’ll never know (I)
I see wings when I look through my telescope
It’s a long road when you’re on your own (I)
Take care of my broken soul (Won’t give up, I)
‘Cause there must be
There must be Angels, guiding the way There must be angels, saving our grace There must be heaven for people who stray There must be heaven in this hell that I’m living’Cause Heaven seems to be so forgivingSo don’t give upI won’t give up, noDon’t give up, I’Cause there must be angels There must be angels There must be heaven in this hell that I’m living’Cause Heaven seems to be so forgiving Oh, don’t give upI won’t give up, no Don’t give upI won’t give up’ Cause there must be angels There must be heaven in this hell that I’m living’ Cause Heaven seems to be so forgiving.

Opening Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for teaching us how to repent through these chapters in the book of Luke. Teach us how to humble ourselves and to pray. We pray that our congregation will understand this week’s sermon, and practice what is talked about. We also pray that our congregation starts communication with us by phone, at 202-412-5672; email, and facebook. We are here for them. They can also text. We ask all this in Jesus’s name. Amen.

Sermon: These sermons with the bible is to help you understand the bible better and get more enjoyment out of it.
Now, Let us talk about repentance. This can be defined as the sincere remorse for one’s sins or wrongdoing. 99 percent of things that are done as sin can be repented. Some sins cannot be repented. We will get into that later on down the road. Jesus is also known as a healer of the spirit of infirmity. He also casts out evil spirits from others as well. If you do not repent of your sins you will live with Satan and be part of the fire.
The sabbath day falls on a Saturday each week. It is known as a day of rest, and for doing personal things around a household. Things at times needed to be done on the Sabbath, such as healing, and legal matters and assisting the homeless with housing and food. Jesus had to give special permission for these to be done on the sabbath.
Jesus likes giving gifts in exchange for other things. God has a lot of royalties that he always loves to show off to others. Some include gold robes, and jewelry. All things on the earth are owned by God. We are his vessels, and we also utilize things as stewards. There are a lot of royalties that are rewarded from heaven. If a person on earth is found to have been very faithful; Many royalties will be rewarded to them once they get to heaven.
Another deeper example of repentance; If you repent after trespassing, or committing an unlawful act against another, you will be forgiven. You can be rebuked, or harshly criticized if you do not repent an act of trespassing.
It is important to humble yourself to God’s kingdom. As long as you keep praying and keep the commandments you will be exhausted. Ex. A blind man is rebuked for something. He humbles himself, and he is allowed to receive his site.

closing Hymn: Jesus have mercy on me by Peter P. Bilhorn:
A beggar blind sat by the way,
the multitude passed by;
He quickly asked them what it meant,
And loud he raised his cry.
“Jesus! have mercy now on me!”
They sought to still his cry;
He heeded not, but cried the more,
Lest Jesus should pass by. [Chorus]

Jesus, have mercy on me!
Jesus, have mercy on me!
Cry to Him, sinner, While mercy is near,
Jesus, have mercy on me!Jesus commanded him come near;
“What wilt thou have?” He said;
“Give me my sight, O Lord,” said he,
“That I need not be led.”Jesus, have mercy on me!
Jesus, have mercy on me!
Cry to Him, sinner, While mercy is near,
Jesus, have mercy on me!And Jesus said, “
Receive thy sight;
Thy faith hath saved e’en thee;”
Immediately he saw the light
As well as others see. [
Jesus, have mercy on me!
Jesus, have mercy on me!
Cry to Him, sinner, While mercy is near,
Jesus, have mercy on me!
He follow’d, glorifying God,
All people praised Him, too,
Who came to shed His precious blood,
And gave us sight anew
Jesus, have mercy on me!
Jesus, have mercy on me!
Cry to Him, sinner, While mercy is near,
Jesus, have mercy on me!

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for helping us learn through the sermon of Rev. Raynette K. Weiss the chapters in the book of Luke. We are also very thankful for the understanding of the chapters. We hope to pray better to Jesus to our heavenly Father through this information and we thank Jesus and our heavenly father for helping the congregation understand this word. Amen.

Benediction: Go in joy and peace throughout the week; stay within the word of the lord whether at work, home, or on breaks. Start believing and acting like you are in the bible with any colleagues. It will help. We ask that Jesus and the Holy Spirit will help our congregation get to know the word of our heavenly father and get them to understand that they need to repent if there is any sin in their lives. Have a great blessed week.
