Opening Hymn; Come, now is the time to worship by Brian Doerksen;
Come, now is the time to worship
Come, now is the time to give your heart
Come, just as you are to worship
Come, just as you are before your God
Come
One day ev’ry tongue will confess You are God
One day ev’ry knee will bow
Still the greatest treasure remains for those
Who gladly choose you now
Come, now is the time to worship
Come, now is the time to give your heart
Come, just as you are to worship
Come, just as you are before your God
Come
One day ev’ry tongue will confess You are God
One day ev’ry knee will bow
Still the greatest treasure remains for those,
Who gladly choose you now
Willingly we choose to surrender our lives
Willingly our knees will bow
With all our hearts, oh, mind and strength
We gladly choose you now
Come, now is the time to worship
Come, now is the time to give your heart
Come, just as you are to worship
Oh, come, just as you are before your God
Come
Come
Come, oh
Come, oh
Come
Come, oh you nations
Come, come and worship
Oh, come (come and worship your maker!)
Opening prayer; Heavenly Father, we pray that the people that read this they get the understanding of what happened here with the bible lessons. We pray that this is pleasing to your eyes. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
In all of this, God stated He would be with Moses the whole way. Moses was still hesitant, God became shocked or frustrated. Moses finally gathered the strength to take on the mission. God commanded Moses to tell the Pharaoh that Israel is the Lord’s son, even the Lord’s firstborn. Exodus Chapter 5 is about Moses and Aaron approaching Pharaoh and asking him to allow the Israelites to go into the wilderness to worship God.
The Lord assured Moses that He would deliver the Israelites from Egypt and through His mighty hand, Pharaoh himself would drive them out of the land.We read about what God did to Pharaoh and the Egyptians in order to save the people of Israel. He multiplied His signs, judgments, and wonders so He could demonstrate His will and power. Tells of more judgments that God sent on Pharaoh and the land of Egypt. In the previous chapter, He showed Pharaoh His power by turning a rod into a serpent and by turning the water throughout the land into blood. But Pharaoh still did not relent.
Pharaoh did not understand all of this because he was not that christian. Pharaoh also held the people of God captive because he did not like the policies God had in place and he he held his people captive out of rebelling against him. The moral of this story is not to rebell against God but join him in becoming a stronger child of his or a child of his.
Closing Hymn; Pharaoh, Pharaoh, let my People go by Denise Allen.
Chorus:
I said, Pharaoh, Pharaoh
Obey me, let my people go!
Yeah, yeah, yeah (2x)
Well a burnin’ bush told me just the other day
That I should come over here and stay
I gotta get my people out of Pharaoh’s hand
And lead them all to the promise land
Chorus
So God sent my brother Aaron and me
To tell the Pharaoh of the Lord’s decree
You better let go. NO! Not gonna beg
Or you’ll wake up in the morning with a nasty plague
Chorus
Well me and and my people goin’ to the Red Sea,
And all of Pharaoh’s army comin’ after me.
I took my staff, stuck it in the sand,
And all of God’s people walked on dry land.
Singin…
Chorus
Now Pharaoh’s army was a-comin’ too,
So what do you think that I did do?
I raised my rod and cleared my throat,
And all of Pharaoh’s army did the dead man’s float.
Chorus
Well that’s the story of the stubborn goat.
Pharaoh should’ve know that chariots don’t float.
The lesson is simple, it’s easy to find,
When God says, “GO!” you had better mind!
closing prayer; Heavenly Father we pray that everyone who reads this will understand that Pharaoh was in rebelliance of you, and t hat he was not very christian if at all, and they have to learn to follow your lead. That they should get into the word and learn about you. If they are a child of God they will get stronger, if they are not, they will become. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Benediction; Go in peace and remember those who are remembering their loved ones. Talk to your friends and family about what you learned this week and remember some of those friends could have also lost a loved one.
For those who wish to become a child of our heavenly Lord, or strengthen thier faith, please pray the following prayer below.
Dear Heavenly Father, I want to be a part of your family. You said in Your Word that if I acknowledge that You raised Jesus from the dead, and that I accept Him as my Lord and Savior, I would be saved. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for forgiving me, saving me, and giving me eternal life with You. Amen!”
By saying this prayer, we believe you are born again.
