We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. We also obey Our Heavenly Father in what he wants us to do, we have a very good   and deep walk with him. We would like you to have that as well. How Our Heavenly Father feels about labeling. Saturday February 28, 2026.

  • Isaiah 43:1: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.”
  • Matthew 23:8-12: Jesus warns against seeking titles and labels that elevate one person above another, reminding followers that they are all “brothers”.
  • Galatians 3:28: “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus

Lesson:

Our Heavenly Father discourages labeling because He looks at the heart rather than outward appearances or societal, limited tags (1 Samuel 16:7). Labels often create division, encourage judgment, and hide an individual’s true identity as a child of Our Heavenly Father, whereas Our Heavenly Father

focuses on potential, love, and personal redemption. We are all images of Our Heavenly Father as his children. With the idea to get all the love from him and be able to do the same and receive it from others just like he does. Labels can be spiritually suffocating and often conflict with our true identity as a child of Our Heavenly Father, a child of the covenant, and a disciple of Jesus  People use labels to define others by mistakes or appearances, but Our Heavenly Father sees past these to the inner person, potential, and, ultimately, the heart. Labeling is a form of social, often judgmental, boxing that can dehumanize individuals. It encourages a “police” mentality, where people pick and choose which sins are worse. Labels can act as a form of “gatekeeping,” suggesting grace is only for certain groups, when Scripture shows Our Heavenly Father’s love is for all. Jesus interacted with people based on who they could become, not the negative labels society gave them (e.g., tax collectors.

Essentially, labels are temporary and restrictive, while Our Heavenly Father perspective is eternal and transformative.Your Heavenly Father values your identity because He created you and, as your Maker, holds the sole authority to define who you are. Labels—especially those used to exclude or judge—often interfere with His original design for several reasons: In spiritual tradition, a creator has the right to name their creation. While others may suggest labels for you based on their perceptions or your past mistakes, only Our Heavenly Father’s definitions hold ultimate.  Labels can be “spiritually suffocating” if they replace your primary identity as a child of Our Heavenly Father. Identifiers like your past, your profession, or even negative traits like “not good enough” can hide your true potential. Using pejorative or dismissive labels (e.g., “toxic,” “idiot”) often prevents genuine engagement and reconciliation. It reduces someone made in the image of Our Heavenly Father to a single, often negative, category. Human labels often act as “boxes” that make a person’s world too small. Accepting a label like “failure” or “not good enough” can prevent someone from fulfilling the divine purpose and destiny Our Heavenly Father has ordained for them.: Reducing a person who bears the “image of Our Heavenly Father” to a dismissive or pejorative label (like “idiot” or “toxic”) is sometimes viewed as a form of blasphemy, as it devalues what Our Heavenly Father has created. : Reducing a person who bears the “image of Our Heavenly Father” to a dismissive or pejorative label (like “idiot” or “toxic”) is sometimes viewed as a form of blasphemy, as it devalues what Our Heavenly Father has created.

before You, laying down the heavy, limiting, and hurtful labels that I have carried for too long—labels spoken over me, or placed upon myself. I confess that I have allowed these names—whether of shame, failure, fear, or inadequacy—to define my identity. True love seeks to help others overcome faults rather than simply condemning them with a label.

While we must recognize sin, we are called to avoid hypocritical, self-righteous judgments.

True love is an active, sacrificial, and patient decision to seek the highest good for another, not just a feeling or a category.

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father I ask for the strength of Your Holy Spirit to strip off every borrowed name, every title formed in pain, and every label that does not align with Your truth. I break the authority of those words, and I ask for Your healing over the wounds they have caused.Instagram

Lord, I choose to wear only the label You have given me: As a Child of Our Heavenly Father. I remind my heart that I am redeemed, chosen, forgiven, and loved. I surrender my need for human validation and ask that I may see myself, and others, through Your eyes of grace. Facebooewrite my identity in heaven’s language, and help me walk in the freedom and purpose You have destined for me, rather than being restricted by the, expectations of others.

In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray.

Our Lord and savior we pray. Please forgive me of my sin

against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the

Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me.
