Sermon
According to the Bible, particularly in 2 Corinthians 11:14, “angels of light” refers to a disguise used by Satan and his demonic forces to deceive people by appearing righteous, truthful, and appealing rather than evil. It signifies a counterfeit, where wicked spiritual beings masquerade as divine messengers of light to lead people away from the truth of the Gospel. Our Heavenly Father sees discrimination as a serious sin and and is very against it, as all people are created in His image, are equal in His eyes, and are children in one human family. He mandates love, dignity, and unity for all; discrimination based on race, gender, or status as a direct contradiction to His divine nature and teaching. Our Heavenly Father’s eyes, all are equal, transcending differences in nationality, social standing, or gender. While its roots are legal, the commandment to not bare false witness is traditionally understood to forbid all forms of deception that damage a “neighbor” (anyone you interact with). Our Heavenly Father provides clear instructions regarding the spreading of rumors, viewing it as a serious sin that causes deep harm to relationships and one’s own spiritual standing. According to Scripture, spreading rumors is an act that separates close friends and is equated with other grave sins.

Because the word “Satan” means “slanderer,” engaging in it is seen as doing the devil’s work.The Bible instructs individuals to stop slandering and to instead be kind and forgiving, according to Ephesians 4:31-32. Slander breaks the “royal law” and harms the one spoken Because God is light and truth, falsehoods cannot exist in His presence. Satan is identified as the “father of lies,” placing deception in direct opposition to Our Heavenly Father’s will.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before You asking for protection from the lies and slander spoken against me. Please put a guard over my mouth and block out the false words others say. I ask for the strength to not react in anger, but to trust You to vindicate me and expose the truth. Heal the wounds caused by these words, and grant me the grace to forgive those who have wronged me, releasing any bitterness in my heart. In Jesus’ name
