A love that comes from pastures green,
a tender grace for all is seen.
Not born of flesh, nor worldly might,
but given from the Source of Light.
It asks for nothing in return,
a sacrificial lesson learned.
Not easily provoked or proud,
but spoken softly, not aloud.
It seeks the wounded and the lost,
and gladly pays the highest cost.
It bears the burdens of a friend,
and stays until the very end.
Compassion’s call, a gentle hand,
to walk beside across the land.
To see the stranger as your kin,
and welcome every outcast in.
To mourn with those who grieve in tears,
and still the spirit’s deepest fears.
To clothe the poor and feed the weak,
to listen when the broken speak.
This love, a seal, a holy sign,
a witness of a love divine.
Not just in word, but deed and truth,
the perfect love of age and youth.
So let us live this life so rare,
and with each breath, a blessing share.
For by this love, all men will know
the sacred seed that we must sow.
Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your incredible love and grace, which is the foundation of all compassion. We ask that You would fill us with Your Holy Spirit, so that we can genuinely love others as You have loved us.
Please help us to be patient and kind, to put others before ourselves, and to be slow to anger. Remove any pride or selfishness from our hearts, making us tender and sensitive to the needs of those around us.
Lord, remind us of Your unconditional love, and grant us the strength to show that same love to our families, neighbors, and even those who are difficult to love. May our words be seasoned with grace and our actions be filled with mercy and service.
Let our lives be a testimony to Your transforming love, so that others may know we are Your disciples. Fill us with compassion for the sick, the struggling, and the lost, that we may bring them comfort and hope.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Our lord and savior we pray. Please
forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
