Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Associate Pastor Jessie K. Weiss. We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. A deep study on Moral character. Tuesday May 13, 2025.

Proverbs 21:3 Bible verse is, “To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof, leads others astray.” – Proverbs 10:17

Hebrews 13:7

Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation

Lesson:

Moral character, often called ethics or moral philosophy, explores the nature of morality, the principles guiding moral evaluation, and the development of moral character. It examines how individuals make moral decisions, the factors influencing their moral behavior, and the impact of moral character on various aspects of life. Moral corruption refers to the deterioration of ethical standards and principles, leading individuals or societies to engage in immoral or unethical behavior. The study revealed that inadequacy of religious education, the influence of media, poor parenting, injustice in society, economic disparities, materialistic approach, discriminatory rule of law and absence of content in school curriculum are the main causes of the moral decay in society. In other words, a society built on injustice is inherently corrupt. African countries are usually highlighted as wrought with corruption. Power Does Not Corrupt, It Reveals Corruption. It is often said that power corrupts, but the truth is that power only reveals what is already. In a corrupt society, the moral fabric is weakened, and the lines between right and wrong are blurred. Developing strong moral character involves defining one’s core values, practicing good habits, surrounding oneself with people of character, taking risks, and committing to self-improvement.

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer!” (Psalm 19:14 NKJV). We pray for many things, but seldom do we pray for good conduct. As believers in Jesus, good conduct should be our way of life.

Our lord and savior we pray. Please forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
