Lesson

Live Wisely Because Our Days Are Numbered

Our Heavenly Father wrote in His book the days allotted to each one of us. (Psalms 139:16) And because we don’t know how many days are left, we live wisely and do everything that’s required of us as if this day is our last. One day it will be.

Therefore, let’s love, forgive, hug, give and repent as long as it’s day.

And let’s pray, “…teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Psalms 90:12)

Don’t fear to think about death. When you remind yourself that this world is not your home, you’ll want to live like a pilgrim on earth as you look forward to your sweet home. Abraham chose to live in tents because He looked forward to living in the city built by God. (Hebrews 11:9-10)

King Solomon says, “Better to spend your time at funerals than at parties. After all, everyone dies – so th livng should take this to heart.” (Ecclesiastes 7:2)

Live in a way that aligns with your values and beliefs, while also being kind and compassionate towards yourself and others. Rely on facts, not assumptions. Most people make assumptions without realizing it. …

  • Think from first principles. Thinking from first principles was coined by the Ancient Greek philosopher, Aristotle. …
  • Read a lot and read widely. …
  • Take enough time to make decisions. …
  • Listen to other people.
  • Learn from your mistakes.

There isn’t a specific age at which someone becomes wise; it’s a gradual process of gaining experience, learning from mistakes, and developing a broad understanding of life’s complexities. Wisdom isn’t solely tied to age, as it can be found in people of all ages, and some individuals may develop wisdom faster than others.

Closing Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father I humbly ask for your guidance and wisdom as I navigate the complexities of life. Help me to make choices that align with my values, goals, and the principles of goodness and love. Grant me discernment to distinguish between what is truly beneficial and what is fleeting or harmful. Lead me to seek your presence in my thoughts, decisions, and actions. Help me to recognize and learn from my mistakes, and to grow in wisdom and understanding. I trust in your guidance and your love, and I pray for the strength to live a life of purpose and meaning, honoring your will in all things.

Our lord and savior we pray. Please forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
