Rev.Raynette K. Weiss and Associate Pastor Jessie K. Weiss. We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. Is it better to obey Our Heavenly Father during the end times or man. Wednesday October 22, 2025.

According to Christian theology, believers should always obey Our Heavenly Father over people, even during the end times. The Bible teaches that Our Heavenly Father is the ultimate authority, and human authority is considered secondary. This principle becomes especially vital when human rules conflict with Our Heavenly Father’s commands. Apostles’ example: In Acts 5:29, when the Sanhedrin commanded the apostles to stop preaching the gospel, Peter responded, “We must obey God rather than human beings!” This demonstrates that when human authority conflicts with Our Heavenly Father’s commands, Our Heavenly Father’s will takes precedence. All authority comes from Our Heavenly Father: Romans 13:1 states, “For there is no authority except that which Our Heavenly Father has established.” This means that governmental and human authority is ordained by Our Heavenly Father, but it is not unlimited. As such, obedience to human law is a way of honoring Our Heavenly Father—but this submission is conditional on it not contradicting Our Heavenly Father’s higher law.Old Testament examples: This principle is also demonstrated throughout the Old Testament. The Hebrew midwives, for instance, disobeyed Pharaoh’s order to kill male Hebrew infants because they “feared Our Heavenly Father” more than the ruler. Daniel and his friends refused to obey royal edicts to worship a golden image or pray to the king, staying faithful to Our Heavenly Father instead.Fear Our Heavenly Father, not people: Jesus reminds his followers not to fear those who can only harm the body, but to fear Our Heavenly Father, who has power over the soul. This shifts the focus from earthly consequences to eternal ones, reinforcing the importance of pleasing Our Heavenly Father over people. The urgency of prioritizing Our Heavenly Father’s will: End-times prophecies, such as those in the book of Revelation, emphasize steadfast faithfulness in the face of increasing worldly pressure and persecution. This requires believers to rely on God and His Word as the ultimate truth.

While the Bible does instruct Christians to respect and submit to governing authorities, this submission has a clear limit: if human laws or demands contradict Our Heavenly Father’s clear and established will, the believer’s highest loyalty is to Our Heavenly Father.

  • Closing Prayer:

“Heavenly Father,

I come to You in worship and praise, especially as I see the world around me changing. I thank You that You are sovereign, and in Your hands is the future and my path.

I ask for Your grace to help me obey You more faithfully. Take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. Grant me the spiritual knowledge and wisdom to live according to Your Word, even as I face the chaos and difficulties of these times.

Help me to make decisions that align with Your plans for my life, surrendering my will to Yours. I want to be faithful and watchful for Your return, living a life that honors You.

Protect me from evil and preserve my soul. Fill me with Your peace, so my fear of tomorrow is replaced with confidence in You today.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray

Our lord and savior we pray, please forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
