Psalm 16:8-11 ESV / 19 I have set the Lord always before me; because

Matthew 6:31-34‘Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’

2 Timothy 2:22 – So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

Lesson:

The Bible, “distorted” often refers to a misrepresentation or twisting of the truth, particularly of Our Heavenly Father’s Word or teachings. It can also describe a skewed or altered understanding of Our Heavenly Father

S reality, or the relationship with others.

A priority is something that is important to us, something that we care about. If something is important to us, then we will show that by our deeds. For instance, the Bible tells us that if our faith is truly important to us, we will demonstrate that in our works.

Distortion, in its simplest form, is a misrepresentation or twisting of something from its true or natural shape or form. It can apply to physical objects, information, and even perceptions. Here are some examples: Physical Distortions:

  • A distorted image in a funhouse mirror.
  • The distorted shape of a building after an earthquake.
  • A distorted sound when an amplifier is overdriven.
  • lens distortion in a photograph, where straight lines appear curved.

Information Distortions:

  • The media sensationalizing a news story.
  • Misinformation spread online.
  • A journalist intentionally omitting key details to influence the narrative.

Perceptual Distortions:

  • Having a distorted view of reality based on biases or personal experiences.Cognitive distortions, such as catastrophizing or overgeneralizin

In all these examples, something is being altered or misrepresented from its true state, leading to a perceived or actual distortion.

To keep your priorities straight biblically, prioritize your relationship with Our Heavenly Father by dedicating time each day to prayer, worship, and studying his Word. This foundational commitment will help you discern God’s will and navigate other areas of your life.

Our relationship with the Lord is our first priority and should influence all other priorities. We keep this in mind so that we don’t take on responsibilities that would hinder keeping God first in our lives.

Closing Prayer: Lord, help me to discern and prioritize what truly matters most in my life. Give me wisdom and clarity to make choices that align with my values and bring about the greatest good for myself and others. May I always be mindful of Your guidance and seek to live a life that honors You.

Our lord and savior we pray. Please forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
