Rev.Raynette K. Weiss and Associate Pastor Jessie K. Weiss. We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. Our Heavenly Father is for peace and democracy. Friday October 25, 2025.

  • 1 Samuel 8:4–22: When the elders of Israel demanded a king to be “like all the other nations,” God saw their request as a rejection of His own kingship. The prophet Samuel warned the people that an earthly king would seize their property, enslave their children, and impose heavy taxes.
  • Psalm 146:3–5: The psalmist warns against putting your faith in human leaders: “Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed are those whose help is the God ofJacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God”.
  • Hosea 8:4: This verse condemns Israel’s self-appointed kings: “They set up kings without my consent; they choose princes without my approval”. It critiques seeking political leadership without divine guidance.
  • Proverbs 28:15: This wisdom literature describes the corrupting influence of power: “Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a helpless people”.
  • Deuteronomy 17:18–20: This passage places constraints on the future kings of Israel, requiring them to adhere strictly to God’s law rather than becoming proud and tyrannical. It warns against concentrating too much power, wealth, and military strength in the hands of one person.
  • John 18:36: Jesus clarifies the nature of his kingship during his trial with Pilate, stating, “My kingdom is not of this world”. This distinguishes his divine authority from earthly political systems.
  • Matthew 20:25–28: In this passage, Jesus teaches his disciples not to imitate worldly rulers who “lord it over” their subjects. He states that true greatness is found in serving others.
  • Mark 10:42–45: Similarly, Jesus teaches that authority among his followers should be modeled on humility and self-sacrifice rather than worldly power, asserting, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve”.

God’s ultimate authority

  • Daniel 2:21: This verse states that God is the one who truly holds power over nations and rulers: “He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings”.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:24: This New Testament verse looks forward to a time when all other rule and authority will be brought to an end: “Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power”.
  • Jeremiah 17:5: The prophet Jeremiah directly warns against trusting in human strength and leadership: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord”.
  • What does Democracy mean according to the Bible. Democracy can be  interpreted through principles like the value of all people (Imago Dei), the call for servant leadership, and the idea of collective responsibility. These principles suggest that a system where the people have a voice, are held accountable for their choices, and where leaders serve the collective good aligns with biblical values, even as some interpretations point to other forms of government like monarchy or the separation of church and state.

Peace Section

Biblically, peace is not merely the absence of conflict but a state of wholeness, well-being, and completeness, a concept embodied in the Hebrew word shalom. It refers to right relationships with Our Heavenly Father and others, and includes inner tranquility, contentment, and harmony. This positive, holistic peace is seen as a gift from Our Heavenly Father, a result of a right relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ.

In order to have biblical peace you have to work with Jesus and Our Heavenly Father. But you can get great peace even while going through a war because they will give their peace to help you keep in peace. It is important to stay calm or you could lose your peace until you calm down. So it is best to enjoy life while down here and get with Our Heavenly Father and you will get good gifts and pleasant peace. Those who have not tried this. Please do. Those who have keep a good walk with Our Heavenly Father and keep a close relationship with him. Just letting you know it is possible to have peace in a world like this, just keep close to Our Heavenly Father.  The more times you do this the more peace you will get.

Closing Prayer:  We thank you Heavenly Father for peace, joy, and Democracy. Please help us to preserve and protect it. Thank you for giving people gifts as they get closer to you. We pray this in our lord and savior’s name.

Our lord and savior we pray, please forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
