Opening Hymn: O perfect love by Dorothy E. Gurney:
O perfect Love, all human thought transcending,
lowly we kneel in prayer before thy throne,
that theirs may be the love which knows no ending,
whom thou in sacred vow dost join in one.
2 O perfect Life, be thou their full assurance
of tender charity and steadfast faith,
of patient hope and quiet, brave endurance,
with childlike trust that fears no pain or death.
3 Grant them the joy which brightens earthly sorrow;
grant them the peace which calms all earthly strife;
grant them the vision of the glorious morrow
that will reveal eternal love and life.
Sermon:
Jesus Christ is the main driver and focus of the lives of the people in the Christian home.
Godly homes are where imperfect families rely on Our Heavenly Father’s grace to be faithful reflections of Him in the way they relate to others. A christian home members always have a lot of knowledge and wisdom of Our Heavenly Father with them; so remember,
A home is not a “Christian” home unless the caregivers intentionally pass along their knowledge and love for Our Heavenly Father, have regular family devotions. The Bible provides guidance for husbands, wives, and children, emphasizing roles and responsibilities within the family structure. Our Heavenly Father is also recognized as the head and the lord. Children are instructed to obey their parents.
A Christian home is more than just a physical structure; it’s a living, breathing community built on the principles of God’s Word, where love, faith, and peace reign.
Our Heavenly Father does not approve of people using foul language. This applies when you are in a christian home and definitely an older adult using it around Children; this goes on a lot today. We strongly encourage anyone that is doing this to ask for forgiveness and repent of it and not do it anymore, the same goes for if you curse someone out. Also pray to Our Heavenly Father and ask him to help you with not continuing that action, if you are not a child of Our Heavenly Father we encourage you to become this will help with this as well. Our point here is simply this: while the Bible clearly uses harsh language at times, it never uses any word that is considered a curse word or offensive language.How often the amount of Bible study can be adapted to individual circumstances and preferences. The most important thing is to find a rhythm that works and stick with it.
Focusing on understanding and applying Our Heavenly Father’s Word is crucial. Instead, the Bible emphasizes the importance of Bible study and encourages us to study “continuously”. This means that Bible study should be repeated as often as possible. This could be daily or multiple times weekly. While the overall number of Christians continues to increase, the percentage of the global population identifying as Christian has remained relatively stable for the past century. The word of Our Heavenly Father is a source of wisdom and direction for Christians, offering principles and examples for navigating life’s challenges and decisions. Many Christian families incorporate Bible reading and prayer into their daily routines, often through family devotions, to bring forth spiritual growth together. Beyond its practical uses, the Bible in a Christian home is a visible symbol of their faith and commitment to The Heavenly Father.
Closing Hymn: Happy the home by Henry Ware Jr.
Happy the home when God is there,
and love fills ev’ry breast;
when one their wish, and one their prayer,
and one their heav’nly rest.
2 Happy the home where Jesus’ name
is sweet to ev’ry ear,
where children early speak His fame,
and parents hold Him dear.
3 Happy the home where prayer is heard,
and praise is quick to rise,
where parents love the sacred Word,
and all its wisdom prize.
4 Lord, let us in our homes agree,
this blessed peace to gain;
unite our hearts in love to Thee,
and love to all will reign.
Closing Prayer: Loving Lord, we lift to you those who are suffering in body, mind or spirit.So many people are facing all kinds of trials due to ill health, conflict, poverty.
Our lord and savior we pray. Please forgive me of my sins
against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
