Rev.Raynette K. Weiss and Associate Pastor Jessie K. Weiss. We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. Sin Consciousness in the end times.  Friday September 19, 2025.

In some interpretations of end-times theology, there may be a prevalence of sin and a lack of remorse indicating the end of an age, as suggested by Jesus’s words in Matthew 24:12. However, for believers, there’s a theological concept of escaping a “sin-conscious” state to a “righteousness-conscious” state, where they focus on Christ’s finished work rather than their own failures. This freedom is achieved by understanding that Christ’s sacrifice, not their own efforts, atones for their sins. Some biblical interpretations point to an increase in human sin and a growing societal lack of sorrow or remorse for it as signs of the approaching end of the present age. The response for faithful believers in these times is to remain steadfast and faithful to God, as indicated in Matthew 24:13.

Many Christian teachings emphasize the difference between being “sin conscious” and “righteous conscious”.

Sin consciousness involves a focus on personal failures, self-condemnation, and guilt, leading to a belief in unworthiness and a fear of approaching Our Heavenly Father.Righteousness consciousness, on the other hand, is based on the knowledge of what Christ has done on the cross. Believers live in freedom and liberty because they understand that Our Heavenly Father’s grace is sufficient, and Christ’s blood has removed their sins.

The core of freedom from sin consciousness is a deep understanding of the unconditional love of God and the power of Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, which atoned for sin and removed the debt of past, present, and future sins. Living under the “law” (a legalistic adherence to rules) can lead to sin dominating because of the awareness of sin. However, living under “grace” means understanding that Christ’s work frees you from this domination and allows you to see the powerful work of God in your life.

Closing Prayer: “Heavenly Father, I come before you recognizing my own sinfulness and imperfection. I confess that in my own strength, I cannot overcome the pull of sin in my life. Please give me a fresh awareness and godly sorrow for the times I have fallen short, and a desire to turn away from any temptation and compromise in my life.

I thank You for Your grace and Your promise to forgive and purify me when I confess my sins. Help me to understand that through Christ, sin no longer has power over me. Grant me the strength to resist the flesh and its desires and to live in Your light, walking in truth and righteousness.

Open my eyes to see how I’ve been tolerating sin and help me to keep my heart fixed on You. I surrender every part of my life to Your will and trust in Your strength to keep me from falling. May I no longer be weighed down by guilt but rather live in the freedom of Your grace. In Your precious name, I pray.

Our lord and savior we pray. Please

forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
