Acts 2:38 – And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.
Matthew 7:9-11 speaks of giving a stone instead of bread. If we, though being more or less wicked because of inherited sinfulness, give good.
Acts 11:18, we read that “to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life.
Luke 11:13So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.
Lesson:
Repentance, a term often associated with Our Heavenly Father and expressing sincere regret for wrongdoing and turning away from it with a sincere desire to change. Its importance lies in the potential for spiritual restoration, forgiveness, and spiritual growth. Repentance allows individuals to be freed from the burden of sin, find peace with Our Heavenly Father, and experience a renewed sense of purpose. You are to use this whenever you sin, or feel like that ups have but are not sure. Remember something that we have gone over many times before. Some groups of people are gifts from Our Heavenly Father. This means these people are special to Our Heavenly Father and usually have special talents given to them by Our Heavenly Father before they get here. You should treat them with respect and love and encouragement. Therefore if you are not, you should repent, and you should think about how you would feel if someone else did that to you, remember whatever you do to someone else it will come back on you, as the old saying goes, and it is very true. I would think long and hard before hurting anyone of Our Heavenly Father’s special gifts. Also remember to think very hard about always trying to chase people away even if it is someone that is part of someone else’s circle because they could be a gift sent from Our Heavenly Father.
Closing Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your forgiveness. Thank you for not abandoning us to our mistakes, but for reaching out instead to bring us home. In the name of Our lord and savior we pray.
