Rev.Raynette K. Weiss and Associate Pastor Jessie K. Weiss. We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. The meaning of the Hymn; Be blessed. Monday September 22, 2025.

The meaning of the hymn “Blessed be the name” is to express worship, praise, and trust in God’s character and sovereignty, especially in the face of suffering, drawing from the biblical story of Job (Job 1:21). The song encourages a heart of gratitude, reminding believers to acknowledge God’s goodness and power in all circumstances, whether joyful or sorrowful, and to find comfort and hope in the redemption offered through Christ’s sacrifice. Biblical Foundation Job’s Testimony:
The central theme comes from Job 1:21, where Job, after losing his possessions and family, declares, “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised”. Praise in Suffering:
