Rev.  Raynette K. Weiss and Associate Pastor Jessie K. Weiss. We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. We also obey Our Heavenly Father in what he wants us to do, we have a very good   and deep walk with him. We would like you to have that as well.  What is Testing in the biblical sense. Thursday January 22, 2026.

Testing is a divine process where God allows challenges, trials, and temptations to purify, strengthen, and reveal the genuine faith, character, and obedience in believers, much like refining gold, to develop spiritual maturity, endurance, and deeper reliance on Him, distinguishing it from temptation (which lures to sin) by its purposeful outcome of proving one’s true heart and preparing them for greater use.

To prove faith is genuine, purging impurities (James 1:2-4).

To build endurance, patience, and spiritual resolve (James 1:12).

To show our true values, commitments, and dependence on Our Heavenly Father.

To change individuals for Our Heavenly Father’s service, like forging metal.

To deepen reliance on Our Heavenly Father and His Word.

Severe afflictions, daily irritations, or moving into the unknown.

Seasons of doubt or heavy burdens.

Survived  a lot of loss.

To prove his unwavering reverence for Our Heavenly Father.

Resisted compromising his faith in exile, demonstrating steadfastness.

Led into the wilderness to overcome temptation by holding to Our Heavenly Father’s Word.

Recognize His sovereignty and seek Him first, as seen in Jesus’ example.

Use Our Heavenly Father’s Word to overcome temptation, as Jesus did.

See tests as opportunities to grow and develop integrity (James 1:2). Desire to please Our Heavenly Father rather than people.

Our Heavenly Father allows it for purification and growth; the outcome is proven faith.

Comes from our own desires or Satan, luring us to sin (James 1:13-15).

, Testing is the process of examining or proving the genuineness, value, and integrity of a person’s faith and character. While it often involves difficulty, its ultimate purpose is refinement and spiritual growth rather than destruction.

A critical distinction exists between these two concepts. Testing (Hebrew nasah or bahan; Greek peirazo in a positive sense) comes from God to strengthen and mature the believer. Temptation comes from Satan, the world, or the flesh, and is an enticement to sin.

Biblical testing is frequently likened to the metallurgical process of refining gold or silver, where heat is used to bring impurities to the surface to be removed, leaving a pure life.

Closing Prayer:   Heavenly Father Thank you that my value isn’t based on this test score. Help me to trust fully in You for whatever the future holds. Give me the grace to do my best and accept the outcome, knowing You are with me.”

Our lord and savior we pray, please forgive me of my sins

against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the

Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me.
