Opening Hymn: The blood of Jesus by Hymonry.org

1 Oh, the blood of Jesus,

Oh, the blood of Jesus,

Oh, the blood of Jesus,

it must not suffer loss.

2 Oh, the word of Jesus,

Oh, the word of Jesus,

Oh, the word of Jesus,

it cleanses white as snow.

Refrain:

There is power, power,

Wonder working pow’r,

In the blood of the Lamb.

There is power, power,

Wonder working pow’r,

In the precious blood of the Lamb.

3 Oh, the love of Jesus,

Oh, the love of Jesus,

Oh, the love of Jesus,

it makes His body whole. [Refrain]

Sermon:

True obedience flows from a deep love for Our Heavenly Father, leading you to align your life with His voice and character, empowered by His grace and Spirit.

Be persistent and passionate, like the persistent widow in Luke 18, showing Our Heavenly Father your deep need for His involvement.

To pray continuously is to live in constant dialogue with God, transforming ordinary moments into prayer through focused attention, simple phrases, and persistent faith, making it a way of life, not just a scheduled event.

Jesus has authority over all circumstances, offering peace and deliverance. Scripture consistently points to Jesus, so focusing on the Word brings the Son into focus.

Seek wise, people who can encourage you in this journey. Develop a thankful heart for His provision, fostering an attitude of contentment.

To trust and surrender to your heavenly Father involves a daily, active process of yielding control, seeking His will through prayer and scripture, recognizing His character, and letting go of anxieties, which builds a deep reliance on His wisdom, timing, and provision, replacing worry with peace and confidence.

Ask Our Heavenly Fatherto increase your humility and for guidance, trusting His answers even if they’re difficult. Emulate Jesus by serving others, even in lowly tasks, and consider others’ needs above your own.

Honestly acknowledge your sins and weaknesses, confessing them to Our Heavenly Father and seeking forgiveness.Accept Our Heavenly Father’s  will and direction, even when it’s challenging, recognizing His authority.  Prayer helps you surrender your will to God’s, as see Jesus’ prayer, “Not My will, but Yours be done” (Luke :42).

It’s a direct line for communication, revealing God’s will and teachings through His Word and the Holy Spirit, giving insight needed for obedience. Consistent communication deepens faith, trust, and intimacy, making obedience a natural outflow of love, not just duty.

Closing Hymn: Trust and obey by Don Moen:

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word

What a glory He sheds on our way!

While we do His good will, He abides with us still

And with all who will trust and obey

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way

To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies

But His smile quickly drives it away

Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear

Can abide while we trust and obey

Oh, Trust and obey, for there’s no other way

To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet

Or we’ll walk by His side in the way

What He says we will do, where He sends we will go

Never fear, only trust and obey

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way

To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey

Oh, Trust and obey, for there’s no other way

To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey

And ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

Just to take Him at His Word

Just to rest upon His promise

Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord”

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!

How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er

Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!

Oh, for grace to trust Him more

Lord oh, for grace to trust You more

Closing Prayer:

“Heavenly Father help me to be humble of heart like You. When I am selfish, makere me eager to serve those I meet. Transform my heart to treat everyone with kindness and see the good in them, not the bad. Help me to not think too highly of myself, but to trust You to lift me up in Your time. In Jesus’ name.

Our lord and savior we pray, please forgive me of my sin

against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the

Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me.
