Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Associate Pastor Jessie K. Weiss. We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. What is trusting in the power of prayer. Wednesday May 28, 2025.

(James 5:14-16); “Do not be anxio us about anything, but in every situation, by prayer.

Proverbs 16:3 states: “Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” This verse encourages believers to entrust their actions and plans to God, with the assurance that He will bring them to fruition in a way that aligns with His will.

Romans 8:18 states, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” In essence, it compares the temporary, earthly sufferings of Christians with the eternal, glorious reward that awaits them in the future. This verse emphasizes that the current hardships are insignificant compared to the future blessing of being united with God and experiencing His glory.

Lesson:

Prayer is a transformative act, connecting individuals with Our Heavenly Father and forming a stronger relationship. It involves aligning one’s will with Our Heavenly Father, seeking guidance, and experiencing a sense of peace and clarity. Trust in Our Heavenly Father’s timing and persistence in prayer are also crucial for cultivating a deeper faith and a powerful prayer life. Praying helps individuals seek Our Heavenly Father’s wisdom and guidance in decision-making, aligning their choices with His divine plan. Prayer brings a sense of peace and clarity, knowing that one is walking on the path God intended. God’s timing is not always our own, and persistence in prayer, even without immediate answers, is a sign of faith.
Trusting that Our Heavenly Father works behind the scenes and that our prayers bear fruit in His time strengthens faith.
Praying consistently, even when facing setbacks, demonstrates faith and strengthens the relationship with Our Heavenly Father. Keeping a prayer journal can help track progress, insights, and the transformative power of prayer. Prayer accesses the power and compassion of God, who has promised to hear and answer His people’s prayers.

Closing Prayer: I thank you Heavenly Father for the gift of prayer, the ability to communicate with you and to pour out my heart. I believe in the power of prayer, that it can bring healing, change, and answers to my needs. I pray that you will guide me to trust in your answers, even when they may not come in the way I expect. Help me to have faith that you are listening and at work, even when I cannot see it. Grant me strength and wisdom to navigate any challenges I may face, and help me to lean on you for comfort and guidance. In Jesus’ name, I  pray.

Our lord and savior we pray. Please forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
