The book of Luke chapters 1-6 St. Luke
which our congregation had the opportunity to read on our website this past week.
Opening Hymn: Come to the feast, by Jeff Lawson
Go to the highways and hedges
Go to the farthest of fields
Go and compel the sick and the well
For our Father’s house will be filled
Go to the streets of the city
Bring in the crippled and blind
All who would taste this banquet of grace
Must come and waste to more time
Come to the feast, Come to the table
The great and the least, the rich and the poor
Come to the feast, Come to the table
Come and hunger no more
In the robe of the lamb you’ll be covered
Dressed in his pure righteousness
For all of your guilt, his blood was spilt
So come by your Father be blessed
Come to the feast, Come to the table
The great and the least, the rich and the poor
Come to the feast, Come to the table
Come and hunger no more.
Opening Prayer: Heavenly Father, we want to thank you through Jesus for writing this book of St. Luke. We also hope that our words below is pleasing in your site, and that all the congregation wherever they are will begin to understand you, and begin to walk with you. We pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Sermon:
Raynette K. Weiss Ministries would like to invite you to read this sermon:
The most focussed area is where Gabriel the angel came to Mary and Joseph and said that they were to have a son and to call him Jesus, and he would save the world from sin. Elizabeth and Zacharias were to be the parents of John The Baptist.
An angel told everyone to follow a star, and they would find Jesus in a manger. He was to be the savior of everyone in the world if they believe in him.
Pontius pilate was Governing Judea at the time Jesus was born. Then it mentioned King Herod and T. Ceaser. They both turned against Jesus after awhile.
Jesus was taken by the Holy Spirit up on a very high mountain and then Satan had tried to tempt him in the wilderness for 40 days and nights. At one point Jesus had to rebuke Satan for worshiping an idol instead of him.
Before Matthew wrote a book of the bible he was a tax collector. Jesus was also given the authority to heal the sick and the disabled. Jesus later went to meet a few more of his deciples that were fishing, and he taught how to not be afraid even in a storm. He then later met John the baptist who baptized Jesus.
Jesus could feed a lot of people on very little food. One of the 12 deciples named Judas Iscariot was to betray Jesus. One of the two sabbaths was taught in synagogues, and the other was a day of rest for personal reason.
Jesus was a spirit in a body that could hear people and give people jobs back then and could also perform miracles. This is what was talked about in Chapters 1-6. This is the true meaning of these chapters. This was truly God’s word, it might have been written by St. Luke, but he is just a vessel just like the rest of us are for Jesus and the Holy trinity, but it is truly God’s word. We also should learn to pray to God, and praise him for all he has done. It is a gift to be able to wake up each day breathing. Too many people these days take that for granted. After we get done the bible series and try making sure that the congregation understands the bible. We will then start another series and get deeper into other subjects that you should know in these end times in the world.
Announcements; Raynette K. Weiss ministries is trying to improve this site for all ages, and would like some feed back from the congregation of what they would like to see on this site after the bible series of the new testament. We will start putting down first names only and last initials of people that need prayer and what kind of prayer that they need on this site. This will begin in September 2020. We encourage anyone that need prayer to contact us by phone and email, and we will be getting an 800 number.
New phone equipment has been purchased, so it should not be a problem to call us now. Free texting is also available for those who wish to use texting by using this phone number, 202-412-5672. This is a new way of getting in touch with us. The pastor will be the only ones that can see it due to confidentiality.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, we all do not spend enough time with you. We have to learn how to pray more to you and praise you correctly. We pray that you will help the congregation do just that. We ask this in Jesus’s name Amen.
Benediction: We pray that our congregation will learn more about God and his word through the King James Version. That they will do this on a break at work, or at home for as long as they can per day. Go in peace and joy and do these acts.
Closing Hymn: Authority by Elevation Worship
Creation knows the voice
That spoke into the void
The breath that brought the dust to life
And sang the stars to form
The darkness fears Your voice
That drove it back before
And though the night is long
I know Your light will drive it back once more
One word from You
Things change on Your authority
Your word, it’s true
Things change on Your authority
Jesus, I know
My fight is not my own
Its end is in Your hands
I worship You because I know
All things must bow to Your command
We believe itOne word from You
Things change on Your authority
Your word, it’s true
Things change on Your authority
One word; from You
One word from You
Things change on Your authority
Your word, it’s true
Things change on Your authority
