Opening Hymn: All joy no stress by Robert Walker;
I got that good news smile on my face
I got that feeling that the world can’t erase
There ain’t a single day I let go to waste
I got that good news smile on my face
I got that beat, beat, beating in my heart
I got that gospel song rocking in my car
A little light gonna get me through the dark
I got that beat, beat, beating in my heart
All joy, no stress
No worries, I’m blessed
From early in the morning ’til the crickets and the sun done set, yeah
All joy
I’m gonna thank God Almighty for the good days (okay)
I’m gonna thank God Almighty for the bad (alright)
Hand out the window waving bye to my old ways (old ways)
Yeah, thank God Almighty, I ain’t ever going back
All joy, no stress
No worries, I’m blessed
From early in the morning ’til the crickets and the sun done set, yeah
All joy
All joy
Bad news (all joy)
Rent’s due (all joy)
In the struggle (all joy)
Yeah, in the battle (all joy)
Yeah, life will get you down (all joy)
But there’s joy still to be found (all joy)
You can’t buy it ’cause it’s free (all joy)
So lay your troubles on the ground, get to singing with me (come on)
All joy, no stress (all joy)
No worries, I’m blessed
From early in the morning ’til the crickets and the sun done set, yeah
All joy, no stress (no stress)
No worries, I’m blessed
From early in the morning ’til the crickets and the sun done set, yeah
All joy (all joy, all joy)
All joy (all joy, all joy)
The sun done set, uh (all joy)
Too blessed (all joy)
All joy, no stress (all joy)
All joy, no stress (all joy)
Sermon:
There are 3 common biblical causes to stress today. Disobedience to the will of Our Heavenly Father, any family ties, and the burdens of leadership. Scripture encourages us not to worry, and so we even worry sometimes about our worrying! The Bible has a great deal to say about worry! Though Our Heavenly Father does not want us to worry, that does not mean He wants us to be irresponsible or uncaring. Scripture encourages us not to worry, and so we even worry sometimes about our worrying! The Bible has a great deal to say about worry! Though Our Heavenly Father does not want us to worry, that does not mean He wants us to be irresponsible or uncaring. Being hurried is an inner condition, a condition of the soul. It means to be so preoccupied with myself and my life that I am unable to be fully present with God, with myself, and with other people.Crowds play an important symbolic role in the Gospels as well. They represent the common people of Israel in contrast to their religious leaders. Crowd, multitude, swarm, throng refer to large numbers of people. Crowd suggests a jostling, uncomfortable, and possibly disorderly company: After performing an astonishing miracle, Jesus immediately sent the crowds of people away on foot. When we are given more options, it can be difficult to evaluate each different one. It requires more time and cognitive effort. It also can lead to anxiety and worry about making an incorrect decision. More choice may cause us to reflect constantly upon the other options that were available to us. It suggests that this functional alteration in the brain could be the underlying physical link between stress and aberrant decision-making. Biblical privacy is more about protecting modesty than it is about being able to do what you want without anybody knowing. Modesty compels you to keep your good deeds covered rather than proclaim them on the corner (cf. Matthew 6). Modesty also compels you to keep your body covered, rather than flaunt it. As careful as the Hebrew Bible and rabbinic literature are to emphasize the value of privacy, they recognize that privacy is only one of an array of values. As such, it is inevitable that the values underlying the right to privacy will on occasion come into conflict with values underlying other rights. These are the biblical causes of stress but what Our Heavenly Father is trying to say to you is that if you give all the earthly and biblical causes of stress to Our Heavenly Father it will not hurt you or eat you up. We encourage you to go and look at the lessons and learn what to do with them. If you hand these things to Our Heavenly Father you will be better off in your life. So we encourage you to go back over these lessons and learn how to deal with these stress causes. This week was called a series on the causes of biblical stress. We will do other miniseries on issues and causes so that you can do what they say and get closer to Our Heavenly Father by doing that. Please, it is very important to pray to Our Heavenly Father everyday, listen and pay attention to him. If you allow him to lead you he will lead you out of dangerous situations and keep you safe, and if you believe in Jesus this will happen as a result of that.
Closing Hymn: Lead us lord by Donald Vails:
CHORUS
Lead us Lord in the path that’s always straight.
Teach us Lord to watch as well as pray.
When my way seems dark as night
Lead us to thy golden light.
Oh Lord, Oh Lord, we need thy strength and power.
lead
Lord I am weak but thou are strong.
Please give me the strength to carry on.
I know you’re a God that never changes.
Come down to save a poor sinner like me.
CHORUS
Lead us Lord in the path that’s always straight.
lead
Sometimes I’m right and sometimes I’m wrong.
Hoping some day to be strong.
I know you’re a God that never changes.
Come down and save a poor sinner like me.
Lead Ad-lib

Ummmm…Teach us Lord to watch as well as pray.
CHORUS
Lead us Lord in the path that’s always straight.
Teach us Lord to watch as well as pray.
When my way seems dark as night
Lead us to thy golden light.
Oh Lord, Oh Lord, we need thy strength and power.

When my way seems dark as night
Lead us to thy golden light.
Oh Lord, Oh Lord, we need thy strength and power.
