We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. We also obey Our Heavenly Father in what he wants us to do, we have a very good   and deep walk with him. We would like you to have that as well. Saturday April 4, 2026. A deep study of Saturday during Holy Week

Job 14:1-14 … Mortals, born of woman, are of few days and full of trouble. They spring up like flowers and wither away; like fleeting shadows, .

Mark 16:6 “’Don’t be alarmed,’ he told them. ‘You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here.

Holy Saturday, or “Silent Saturday,” is the quiet, contemplative day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, marking the time Jesus rested in the tomb after his crucifixion. It is a day of deep waiting, reflection on the darkness of loss, and trusting in God’s work behind the scenes before the resurrection. Jesus rested from his work of salvation, signaling that the sacrifice was “finished”.

Tradition dictates that during this time, Jesus descended to the realm of the dead to free the righteous awaiting redemption, such as Adam and Eve. Scripture is largely silent on this day, with the disciples hiding and mourning, creating a profound time to sit with loss and questions. It represents the “hidden” work of Our Heavenly Father, similar to a seed hidden in the soil before springing to life. It is a time to pause and sit with the tension of unanswered questions, rather than jumping to easy answers.

As the Jewish Sabbath, it was a day of rest. The women who followed Jesus, including Mary Magdalene, rested according to the commandment, waiting until Sunday morning to finish anointing His body with spices. In many Christian traditions, Holy Saturday commemorates the Descent into Hell (or Hades), where Christ proclaimed victory over death and freed the souls of the faithful who had died before HisShe Reads. Truth. The disciples experienced deep shock and the “shattering of their hopes” as they waited without knowing the outcome.

: It serves as a metaphor for the human condition—living in the tension between Christ’s victory and the final renewal of all things. Many churches hold this service after sundown on Saturday, marking the transition from darkness to the light of the resurrection.

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, on this day of quiet, we remember that Jesus rested in the grave, finishing His work. Just as a seed dies to bring forth new life, we trust in Your promise that death is not the end. Teach us to take refuge in You, and in the silence of this day, strengthen our faith as we await the hope of the resurrection, making all things new, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
