To become a child of our Heavenly Father, Christian scripture and sermons emphasize that you enter God’s family through faith, repentance, and spiritual adoption through Jesus Christ, rather than through human effort or good works alone.

Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with an open heart and a hungry spirit. Thank You for where You have brought me, but I know there is more of You to experience. Lord, I ask that You take me to a higher level in my walk with You.
Strip away every distraction, every habit, and every distraction of self-reliance that keeps me from hearing Your voice clearly. Give me a fresh hunger for Your Word, a deeper passion for Your presence, and the courage to surrender my own plans to Your perfect will.
Elevate my thoughts, my character, and my daily choices. Teach me how to move past routine religion into a genuine, intimate relationship where I know Your heart. Empower me by Your Spirit to walk in obedience, overcome every obstacle, and shine Your light wherever I go.
